How to sign on to FamilySearch.org and start filling in your own part of the tree. Three ways to add sources to individual details. Touring the features of the home and person pages of FamilySearch.org. Philosophical comparison between FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com. Brief overview of the “getting involved” and “activities” on the home screen.

Connect with your Italian ancestors through millions of Italian records available through Familysearch.org. Learn how to locate records particular to your ancestry, find pertinent information contained in those records even if you don't read Italian, to use them to find their preceding generations, and attach those records to the people on your family tree

Let us show you how to connect families through merging process to correct relationship errors, such as duplicates, if a person doesn't belong in the family, or wrong parent/child relationships. It's an easy fix, but don't worry even if you make a mistake trying to merge, it can still be undone and corrected.

This presentation introduces DNA as the genetic blueprint, explains inheritance from ancestors, and outlines Y-DNA, mtDNA, X, and autosomal tests and who can take them. It compares major testing companies and uses real-world examples to show how DNA testing uncovers ancestry, relationships, and genetic traits for genealogy enthusiasts.

This class is designed to give you a basic start for gathering information, setting up a family tree, searching records to provide you with hints to document your research as you go, how to review and save hints that become your documents for your tree, familiarize you with the most informative databases, and how to save information to other family trees in databases such as Family Search.
